연대와 이름을 암기하는 것이 아니라 증거 기반 추론으로 과거를 해석하는 역량. 사료를 분석하고 인과관계를 추적하며 역사 서사가 어떻게 구성되는지 이해한다.
역사적 사고는 1차 사료와 2차 문헌을 분석하고, 시간의 흐름에 따른 인과관계를 파악하며, 서로 다른 관점이 과거에 대한 이야기를 어떻게 형성하는지 평가하는 역량입니다. 단순한 사실 암기를 넘어 증거를 비판적으로 검토하고, 역사 서술의 편향을 인식하며, 사건을 사회적, 정치적, 문화적 맥락 속에 위치시킵니다. 시민적 소양, 문화적 교양, 과거의 실수 반복 방지에 필수적인 역량입니다.
역사가 단순한 이야기 모음이 아니라는 것을 알고 있습니다. 잘 알려진 사건들을 기본적인 연표 위에 배열할 수 있으며, 다른 시대의 사람들이 다른 조건에서 살았다는 것을 이해합니다. 그러나 교과서 서사에 의존하며 누가 왜 그렇게 서술했는지 의문을 제기하지 않습니다. 역사적 사실을 해석이 아닌 고정된 진실로 받아들입니다.
